Sairu Hill is situated in Bandarban District which is located on the South-Eastern side of Chittagong (now known as Chattogram) Division, Bangladesh. The place is well-known for its scenic beauty of boundless green forest and mountains with the highest peaks which flows countless waterfalls. There are in total fifteen ethnic groups of people who share different culture and lifestyle which makes the place more vibrant and attracts tourists from home and abroad.

Ages ago there lived a king of a mountain tribe in Bandarban who had a very beautiful daughter name Sairu. This young Mro maiden was deeply in love with a young man whose father was also a king but of a different hill tribe. There was a conflict among the tribes hence people from one tribe were prohibited to socialize with the other.

The two young love bird’s feelings were inseparable and against all the rules and restrictions, they continued to meet secretly in the hills. They kept seeing each other until one day the tribe figured about their relationship. This led to a disastrous situation and the boy was forced to marry a girl from his own tribe. Sairu was extremely disheartened and began to wander around the hills out of depression, until one day when she was never found again.

There’s a pair of trees entwined to each other which can be spotted at the top of the hill which symbolizes the bond of their true love. Hence that spot is now named after the couple and known as the Sairu Point.

Sairu Hill Resort’s name and logo inspired by the mythical love story of this couple and to this date, people remember them and visit Sairu Point in remembrance of the couple.

To witness the symbol of unconditional love and breath-taking scenic beauty you can visit Sairu Hill Resort. The Resort is situated at one of the topmost peaks of Bandarban hill which gives you the opportunity to mesmerize yourself among the serenity.
